Hi, I'm Ruth, breastfeeding peer supporter and coordinator of the Hanham group. I breastfed my two children some years ago now, but am still just as passionate about enabling women and families to find the support they need for their feeding choices. As the saying goes, "It takes a village to raise a child" but many of us don't have that village around us when we most need it so I feel proud to be part of this support network. We aim to provide a listening ear, a place to meet other mums, dads and parents, feeding support and / or a friendly and non-judgemental space to feed and change your baby if you are venturing out for the first time. We welcome all breast- and chest-feeding parents. If you are giving your baby human milk in whichever way is working for you right now, our group is for you!

Hi, I'm Amy! I'm mother to 2-year-old twins Lily and Evie. I've been a peer supporter for just a few months but have attended this group for a couple of years,  and it's been a wonderful supportive space for us. Like most women,  my breastfeeding journey started with challenges and as a result,  I am very  passionate about providing support - especially regarding feeding multiples - both and practical and emotional...!

Hi my name is Kas.
I volunteer at Hanham breastfeeding support group. Which I have been doing for a year now. I love meeting parents, seeing families come back each week, creating new friendships and supporting each other through their own breastfeeding journey's.
As a mum of four I know how different every baby is and how each breastfeeding journey has its own highs and lows.
Having a friendly welcoming support group is so important during the hard times and the good times for mums to know they are not on their own and that they are doing an amazing job . And for partners to have that reassurance on how to best support their partner as well, as for their own feelings about how the journey is going.
We always have the kettle on, and welcome everyone, whether is just to get out the house or for that bit of targeted support. Our friendly non-judgmental, team of peer supporters are there each week at our face-to-face groups and online via the online service. It is a great team to be a part off.
