No matter what your breastfeeding journey looks like - exclusively breastfeeding, exclusively pumping, donor milk giver or receiver or combination feeding we are here to offer a warm welcome, information and support. Whether you are at the beginning of your journey or nearing the end. Whether you have concerns or not. You're always welcome to join us at the Cadbury Heath Breastfeeding Group. We can promise a hot cup of tea, usually a sugary snack and a friendly face. The group very much welcomes siblings, partners, grandparents and friends and offers a drop in environment - we know babies don't always follow a clock. So please do feel free to pop along.
I'm Katie & I've helped to run the Cadbury Heath BF Group since January 2015, so over 3yrs now.
I completed my Peer Supporter training in December 2014.
I decided to train after having my second daughter as my eldest was 6 & a half then & I sort of felt like I'd forgotten things & wanted to learn again, but also wanted to learn how to help others too.
I have also went on to complete my ABM Mother Supporter training in 2016.
I have 3 girls age 11, 4 & a half and 2 & a half and breastfed for a total of 63mths!! That's over 5yrs! :)

My name is Marylee and I'm a mummy to 2 wonderful girls. I currently support out of the Cadbury Heath Group. I decided to become a peer supporter after having a tough time with motherhood first time round. My eldest suffered with reflux and allergies and my boobs were my only comfort to her. One of my biggest lifelines during the hard times was the support of the Kingswood breastfeeding group and the amazing women who ran it. Not only did they provide factual and informative information on topics but they gave me hugs when I needed them, listened to me ramble and cuddled my baby when I just needed a minute. The phrase it takes a village to raise a child never rung truer and it was this women empowering women attitude that made me decide that I wanted to be able to lift other women up where ever I could and peer supporting just fitted perfectly with that.

I'm Katarzyna, but I usually use Kate so everyone knows how to pronounce it. I'm  a Polish expat living in the lovely village of Hanham. I'm boobing (4 years and counting), soon-to-be home educating stay at home mum of (so far) two: Daphne and Emil. I'm a breastfeeding peer supporter at Cadbury Heath group. I found my tribe there, I've been coming to the group since my first was 20 months old,  and helping with drinks and tidying up naturally progressed to volunteering.

What Mums say....

"Thank you for your help with the breastfeeding when I had my baby! I was so close to giving up. I was planning to breastfeed only for the first three months at first but managed to carry on for 23 and decided to stop at 23 only because no 2 is on the way"
